It’s looking like I’m going to head to Mongolia this spring.  I’ve been mostly stationary for the last 8 months, (except for my Alacranes Shoot for ILCP) and I’m getting the itch to take myself out of the loop for a while and go off on another adventure.  I’ve applied for a couple of grants through the National Geographic Society, and I’m anxiously waiting to hear back from them.  In true Horton style though, I’m going either way.   It’s hard to tell people about the project without letting to much of the story out before it actually happens because I’m so excited, but the general idea is that I’ll be spending close to 4 months on Horseback and Camelback in the Gobi desert, and the steppes of Mongolia.   Once I get started, then be sure that I’ll let everybody know all about it!
